You may know me as the YASSS Queen Photographer, a charcuterie-obsessed hype girl, or you may have come to one of my keynotes and simply know me as the f*ck the filters woman.
You’d be right! But at the base of it all, I’m a photographer who educates photographers on how to show up, so they can build businesses that light them all the way up.

Hey there!
It took me eight years to go from daydreaming about being a photographer to taking the scary leap to go all-in. I know that’s usually where the movies cut off, but this is real life. Having a side hustle and a full-time job was exhausting. (Thank God for coffee, am I right?!)
I kept that daydream clear in my head. I wanted to have a life of financial freedom, travel, and empowering women to see themselves at their fiercest.
I didn’t always have a thriving photography business.

I even made a gif before turning in my 2-weeks notice!
and in two short years, I earned my first 6-figures. You know that feeling of dread and excitement is when you turn in your two weeks? Turns out, while there was a list of the fears of the unknown, it was the right move. Just one month into being a full-time entrepreneur, I was able to make half of my annual salary from my corporate job... that's right, in just ONE month! I’m so glad I didn't let fear hold me back from the leap of faith.
Since then, I fell in love with marketing, traveled the world with my husband, opened a brick-and-mortar photography studio, and turned that daydream into my real freaking life. And I love it!
Now, on top of leading a photography team + studio, I get to educate photographers on how to turn their daydreams into a business and life they love too.

Worked at Cady Studios doing senior portraits for $10/hr. This was my first taste of what it was like behind the lens!
2009
Started my first photography side hustle. (What can I say, I was hooked!)
2010
Dropped the photography minor and taught myself everything I needed to know from YouTube University. It was enough, but I wish there were more photographer educators back then, like there are now!
2011
Launched my business, Pompy Portraits, with my then-fiance, now husband. We quickly added Pompy Portraits Photobooth as a way to stand out and make additional revenue.
2017
I made the best decision of my life and married my best friend, Scharmy. Blessed with my first year making 6-figures as a damn side hustle!
2018
Turned in my 2-week notice and officially became a full-time photographer. It was crazy offering a little of every niche back then - but I'm so thankful for overcoming my fears.
2019
Opened Pompy Portraits Studio in Jacksonville, FL. Hit 10k on Instagram. Shot my last wedding in October. Launched my first course, Master Your Minis, and my content planner.
2020
Re-branded the Pompy Portraits website and niched down to focus on boudoir, maternity, and newborn photography.
2021
The pandemic hit and my business exploded even more. Hired my first team member, a Virtual Assistant.
2022
The year isn't even over and so much has happened! 2023 is the year I launched Angelica Pompy Education! Sold the Photobooth division of Pompy Portraits. Niched down again to only boudoir and maternity. I can't wait to see what else happens. Stay tuned!

I met my person in college and we’ve been stuck like glue ever since. Scharmy is my best friend, my biggest cheerleader, and my life partner.
